Council Makes Funding Available for Commemorations
During 2014 Waipa District Council commemorates 150 years since the formation of the district, and as part of its Long Term Plan deliberations Waipa District Council has made funding support available for community groups undertaking commemoration events that acknowledge our history and community. Any community groups who to wish to undertake an activity that supports the 150th District Commemorations that promotes, supports, educates or entertains the community during 2014will be able to apply in two funding rounds. Application forms for the second round of funding are now available at council’s Te Awamutu and Cambridge offices, or can be downloaded here.
Completed applications must be received by 5pm, Friday 13 June 2014, and can be delivered to either of council’s offices or posted to:

A second funding round will be open May 2014.
Applications will be considered by the District Promotions Committee with the addition of the Cambridge and Te Awamutu Community Board chairs and with a representative from the Pirongia Consultative Committee.
