Everyone Welcome – learn something new about the place you live in.
The Waipa District, along with Hamilton City, is celebrating 150 years and as part of the celebrations Waipa District Council in conjunction with the University of Waikato are hosting a series of public talks.

Let’s Talk Waipa, which runs for three Saturdays in July, is a fabulous opportunity  for anyone in  our community to come along and learn more about Waipa’s fascinating heritage. The series of engaging talks feature a number of speakers who will touch on all sorts of interesting topics relevant to the Waipa District.

The public talks will be held on:

Saturday 12 July – Te Awamutu Council Chambers, Ground Floor, 101 Bank Street, Te Awamutu.
Saturday 19 July – Cambridge Town Hall, Victoria Street, Cambridge.
Saturday 26 July – University of Waikato, Room S1.02, Knighton Road, Hamilton.

To attend you just need to register, download a copy of the registration form, complete and send with your registration fee by 1st July 2014. Once you have registered for the day you are welcome to stay for the whole day or to attend individual talks as you please.
